About the role

We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the newly formed Operations Team with a focus on project delivery for new customer builds, current customer upgrades and new product features. You’ll also be responsible for identifying inefficiencies in the current business processes and implementing new efficient and robust ways of working across all functions of the business.

Our technology is already used by some of the largest brands in the world, and we’re only just getting started. This is a pivotal moment to join a company that has a huge opportunity ahead of it.

You’ll be responsible for

– Facilitating the definition of requirements and agreement of the scope of work for projects across internal and external stakeholders

– Building a business case for each project with input from Commercial and Customer Success teams  

– Capacity planning across all projects aligned to our strategic priorities

– Being part of a Customer Squad and building project plans, based on capacity, to deliver to our customers’ needs

– Proactively managing projects from initiation through to go-live

– Reporting on progress throughout the project to all internal and external stakeholders 

– Reviewing existing business processes to understand the root causes of any issues

– Defining new efficient processes and embedding these across business functions

Ideal skills and experience

Project Management:

– Proven project management experience within a technology (ideally SaaS) environment 

– Experience of delivering projects across the full Software Development Lifecycle  

– Experience of using agile and hybrid development methodologies 

– Experience of managing all elements of a project including budget, risks, issues, dependencies, scope, quality and time 

– Comfortable with risk and assumption based project planning 

– Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally with our clients in order to manage stakeholders throughout the project

– Experience of managing change requests against the agreed scope during project delivery

Sprint Planning, Management and Performance:

– Encouraging effective backlog grooming and prioritisation with Product Owners, to ensure a steady stream of well specified and documented stories for the sprint teams

– Leading the collaborative planning process for each sprint

– Responsibility for measuring burndown, running retrospectives, handling urgent bugs, managing changing requirements, tracking capacity, specifying acceptance criteria and monitoring velocity

Business Analysis / Requirements Definition:

– Can build business cases, detailing costs and benefits, to gain approval for the project from the Leadership Team

– Can work closely with the Product Owners, Customer Success Team and our Customers to gather, document and estimate requirements

– Can define and document requirements unambiguously and communicate these to technical and non-technical team members

Process Efficiency:

– Can process map an existing process, identify issues and their root causes and outline solutions to fix the problems

– Can measure current process effectiveness and define new measures to see how successful any newly implemented ways of working have been

– Experience of implementing ongoing mechanisms to monitor process efficiency and look for ways to continuously improve
