Following significant growth, we're looking for a Junior / Early Career Data Scientist to join our team. Data Science is at the heart of the company and the team plays a crucial role in analysing customer behaviour, using machine learning to generate highly tailored recommendations.

You'll be working on the algorithms that underpin our product, and will be responsible for interpreting large amounts of behavioural data to discover the underlying stories and opportunities. Then you'll identify, help implement and test algorithms and optimisations that drive real improvements to our product's performance. You'll work closely with other parts of the business to ensure that the whole product is focused on maximising the benefit of the algorithms that we develop.

Don't be put off applying if you're not yet familiar with all of the skills required - this is a junior role and our main focus is finding someone with a great intuition for understanding data. It would particularly suit someone with some programming experience and a passion for problem solving, who is interested in analysing large and complex data sets.

We would also be happy to consider more experienced candidates for a non-junior role.

Skills
  • Solid analytical coding skills (we’re particularly fond of Python and R)
  • Experience with databases, both SQL and others
  • Firm grounding in core principles of data science
  • Experience analysing and visualising data sets
  • Statistical testing, modelling and machine learning
What we offer
  • The opportunity to work directly with some of the largest companies in the UK and Europe
  • The opportunity to have a direct impact on the success of a fast-growing product
  • The opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the business - working with brilliant developers, designers and data scientists
  • A fun and creative work environment
  • Time to create and develop your own ideas
  • A great, newly refurbished office
  • A brand new Macbook
  • Weekly ‘Food for thought’ lunch sessions with free food and guest speakers, and the opportunity to speak and present
  • Your birthdays off work
